Student Performance Results:  1999-2004

The following charts show the trends in the Grade Eight Performance Assessment (GEPA) results in the areas of Language Arts, Math, and Science.  Each chart tracks the percentage of general education students who score as “Proficient” or “Advanced Proficient” in the tested area.  These charts show significant improvement in some areas since 2001, the year in which the Initiative began operations.  The positive changes are directly attributable to the increased attention and focus on education in Red Bank, and to the dedicated work of the many students, parents, teachers, administrators, community service workers and volunteers involved in the Red Bank community.  These charts show that since 2001, Red Bank general education students have achieved rough parity with the average of their peers in the state of New Jersey.  Still, much work remains to be done for Red Bank students to achieve parity with students in peer districts Little Silver and Shrewsbury.  In each chart, RBBS is Red Bank Borough Schools, RBCS is Red Bank Charter School, State is average of all New Jersey districts, LS is the Little Silver, New Jersey, and Shrw is Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
